The Bet

The Bet is a good example of why I don’t like to gamble. At least not in casinos. I have a buddy who routinely gives me forty dollars whenever we hit a casino for the various bachelor parties we’ve gone to. It’s not that I’m poor, I just don’t like to take those sort of risks.

For example, the last time we did this… he gave me $40 because he really wanted me to gamble. I hit the roulette table and ended the night with $200 in my pocket. He, on the other hand, dropped a solid $600 on the night and left in the red.

Friendly gambles are fun, though. I bet on last year’s Super Bowl with a buddy and the loser would have to buy the winner an Xbox game. And that’s how I got to enjoy a free copy of Dying Light.

Here is our Archive of all published Mousebear Comics. Marvel at how terrible the quality used to be (or still is). These are merely cynical musings of two cautiously handsome Schadenfreudes. That’s right, we are increasingly bitterly or sneeringly distrustful, contemptuous, or pessimistic.

We welcome you to our accumulation of visual historical records organized over the lifetime of Mousebear Comedy. These comics have been selected for permanent or long-term preservation on grounds of their enduring personal value.
