Worst Ways to Respond I Love You was inspired by a post on AskReddit about –obviously– the worst ways to respond to I love you. The answers varied from genuinely funny to downright depressing. I think the most upsetting one is the final panel with “message read at” as the punchline.
I’ve had instances where I’ve admitted personal things that have solicited absolutely no response. It leaves me insecure to the point I feel the need to keep responding in order to make myself look better — or at the very least less pathetic.
I’ve had some of these said to me and I’ve heard horror stories of worse being said to others. I guess I’ve been blessed.
