Southpaw Love

Southpaw Love
Southpaw Love

As an identifying southpaw, I’m always tickled by “left-handed” compliments. I used to tell this joke on stage during a period where I delivered it in a much darker tone. This came from life experience, after I dated another southpaw who was pretty loosey-goosey. By that I mean she was kindof a whore. What’s worse is that I knew she was a whore before we started “dating” and I still managed to become surprised by the all too predictable outcome.

This was also the first iteration of the characters for Mouse and Bear, and while at the time I was satisfied with them, these versions quickly became pretty impossible to work with. I tried to ascribe too much to them being actual animals, and now they’re much more humanoid, but with animal heads. Plus, the real Mouse has a chinstrap beard and I couldn’t draw it well enough on such a pointy snout that this first Mouse has. They’re a lot more emotive now.
