Overly Attached Girlfriend is something that has, of course, actually happened to me (though a few years ago). I’m taking liberties using the title of “girlfriend” because as far as she was concerned, we were not a legitimate couple… even though we lived together and shared a bed and had all of the sex. We laughed, I cried, yadda yadda yadda.
My reaction at the time was NOT Bear’s in the last panel. It was actually much more embarrassing as I thought it was cute and I, for some reason, found it endearing and indicative of how “real” our “love” was. I suppose this comic is more of how I wish I had reacted and noticed the manipulative red flags. Sometimes you don’t know until it’s too late. She was the opposite of an overly attached girlfriend.
Hindsight is 20/20 and all that jazz. So it goes. C’est la vie. Blah, blah, blah. Life goes on. Such is life.
Here is our Archive of all published Mousebear Comics. Marvel at how terrible the quality used to be (or still is). These are merely cynical musings of two cautiously handsome Schadenfreudes. That’s right, we are increasingly bitterly or sneeringly distrustful, contemptuous, or pessimistic.
We welcome you to our accumulation of visual historical records organized over the lifetime of Mousebear Comedy. These comics have been selected for permanent or long-term preservation on grounds of their enduring personal value.
